To celebrate Maths Week England, the whole school took part in a National Times Tables Rock Stars competition which saw pupils competing to earn as many coins as possible. As a result, Pine Tree now have two members at the top of the leader board, with the third coming from Linden Tree.
In addition to this, each class were invited to take part in role-playing in a range of different job roles. This was a way of showing our pupils the range of jobs that use mathematics.
Year 1 were bakers for the day, Year 2 became fitness instructors, Year 3 were architects, Year 4 were animators, Year 5 helped the school in their role of business managers and Year 6 had to use their skills as nutritionists.
