Year 5 ride the Paris Metro.
Year 5 have been learning about a musical love letter set in Paris. Hector Berlioz was in love with an actress called Harriet Smithson... so he wrote her an entire symphony. Symphonie Fantastique!
Year 5 have been looking at the music and how Berlioz used a tune to represent Harriet in different places in Paris.
On Wednesday this week, we went to see the London Philharmonic Orchestra play the music at the Royal Festival Hall, and sang with the Orchestra!
