This week in Year 3 we continued to learn about light and shadows. We carried out an experiment to investigate how light travels and we found that light travels in straight lines.
For us to be successful with our investigation, we first had to make holes in 5 pieces of card and then used blue tac to hold them in place.
Once we had the card securely in place, we used our torches to shine a line through the first hole.
After shinning the light through the first hole we noticed that the light travelled in a straight line through all of the holes and we were able to see it on the last piece of card.
