Year 1 Working hard on new skills

Children have been enjoying their daily reading sessions, familiarising themselves with letter sounds and applying their phonics when reading books.

This week children were practising their addition skills, choosing from a range of resources to support then when counting. They have been busy writing lost of addition number sentences.

This term children are learning different games during PE. Below is a picture of them playing aliens and monsters. They really enjoyed this and would highly recommend it.

As well as that they have been practising throwing, catching and racket skills in preparation for playing rounders.
