Hockey in Year 6 #pe

This term, we are continuing to develop our hockey skills. So far, we have recapped the skills we learnt last term, learnt how to ‘stick flick’ and learnt how to jab.

We enjoyed practising these skills before taking part in a mini game. As each group played, other groups had to try and identify each individual skill and explain what each group did well.

Some of the comments can be found below:

“I think he did well because he made sure he got into an open space for his team-mate to pass to him.”

“I think she did well because she was always talking and communicating with her team.”

“I noticed that he was trying to use the jab technique to get the ball away from his opponent.”

“I saw them being ready in goal by always having their eyes on the ball.”
