In Science, we learned what a shadow is. We investigated whether materials, that are transparent, translucent and opaque create shadows. First, we identified the transparency of the materials that we would use to cast a shadow. Then we predicted whether they would create a shadow.
We found that shadows are the absence of light and that opaque materials create shadows because they block light. Transparent and translucent materials let light through so they do not create a shadow.
