Dear Parent/Carer
Re: Key Worker and Vulnerable Children Access to School (from Monday 23rd March 2020)
As advised by the Government, the school will stay open for the children of Police, NHS and Food Delivery Drivers and also children with EHCPs or allocated Social Workers. We are therefore writing to inform you of the arrangements that have been put in place for these children.
We have been asking parents to inform us whether you intend to bring your child to school. Please update us if you feel that you fall into these categories or if your situation changes.
- The Lodge will be open from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday. We are unable to provide Breakfast Club or After School Club at this moment.
- Nursery children will be 9am-12.
- If anyone in your household comes under the High Risk category, see list attached, you must self-isolate and not bring your child into school.
- Children are to wear school uniform whilst at school (except nursery).
- Unless your child is eligible for Free School Meals or Universal Meals, please provide a packed lunch for your child.
- If your child is not able to attend school on any of these days, you must inform the school using:
number 07769210987
or
email workingtogether@bannockburn.greenwich.sch.uk - If you have agreed to your child coming in every day and your child has an allocated social worker. You will need to inform us of your child’s absence to prevent a call being placed with Social Services.
- If your child falls into any of the other categories, please inform school if they will be absent to allow us to organise staffing numbers. We will contact you if we have no staff available due to illness and self-isolation.
- If your child or anyone in your household exhibits any of the coronavirus symptoms (cough and fever over 38 degrees) they will not be able to attend school and must self-isolate for 14 days.
- Children not eligible for FSM or Universal meals are to bring in a packed lunch - if you are eligible and would rather bring in your own lunch please let us know (we can not reheat food for health and safety purposes)
